The 6’3” redshirt sophomore guard appeared in 32 games, averaging 4.5 points, and 1.8 rebounds per game.
Hull is the fourth transfer commitment for the Hokies; joining Oklahoma F Kuol Atak, San Diego State starting C/F Miles Heide, and Florida Atlantic starting G Isaiah Elohim. The 6'3'' guard from Charlotte has two years remaining after spending three with the Phoenix including a redshirt year for the 2024-25 season.
Hull was a rotational guard for Elon this past season averaging 4.5 points and 1.8 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per game while shooting 39.5% from the field including 35.8% from three-point range plus 86.7% from the free-throw line.
Hull projects to be a back end of the roster depth piece who does bring some shooting should he be needed in an emergency situation.
Hull's addition does not change the reality that Virginia Tech still needs more backcourt help both to add at least a quality backup point guard behind Ben Hammond and provide depth on the wing behind Tyler Johnson and Isaiah Elohim, with it being very possible that VT brings in someone who would push Elohim into a top backup role instead.
