After spending the past season as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel at Virginia Tech, Kyshoen Jarrett is making a jump to an on-field role elsewhere as On3's Matt Zenitz is reporting that Jarrett will be the CBs coach at Howard.
Virginia Tech staffer Kyshoen Jarrett, a former Hokies and NFL defensive back, is expected to be hired as Larry Scott’s cornerbacks coach at Howard, a source tells @on3sports. Was Virginia Tech’s assistant director of player personnel last season.

This is another full circle type moment for Jarrett who got that some when he returned to Virginia Tech in his off-the-field role. Now, Jarrett will head back to the Nation's Capital where he spent his NFL career at for his largest role to date in coaching as the CBs coach as Howard.
Jarrett's move makes this the first departure from someone on Brent Pry's staff after Jarrett had been confirmed to be returning to Virginia Tech before this opportunity arose.
This is a great opportunity for Jarrett who, now that he has some experience in coaching and recruiting from his time at Tech, for him to take his coaching game to the next level at the FCS level as an on-the-field coach who will get to go on the road and recruit as well. There's no doubt that his playing experience at Tech and in the NFL should also benefit him as he steps into this new job at Howard.
Jarrett's move from off-the-field role at the Power 5 to on-field coach at the FCS level is a move many have done with great success including Xavier Adibi who is now a lead defensive analyst for Tech who seems likely to gain an on-the-field role in the future should a current defensive assistant head elsewhere.
We will have more as this story develops.
