There are plenty of complaints about NCAA rules and rightly so, but there are some NCAA rules that may not be used often, but are more than reasonable. Take for instance NCAA "Rule 14.2.1.1 Practice Prior to Initial Enrollment" which states the following.
"A student-athlete may practice during the official vacation period immediately preceding initial enrollment, provided the student has been accepted by the institution for enrollment in a regular, full-time program of studies at the time of the individual's initial participation; is no longer enrolled in the previous educational institution; and is eligible under all institutional and NCAA requirements."
That rule allows any recruit enrolling in the spring to join their current team during bowl season for practice if they have everything completed at the high school level. In this case, four-star WR Chanz Wiggins out of King George, VA; which is less than two hours away from where VT is practicing, is able to practice with the Hokies and has been doing just that during Virginia Tech's Military Bowl prep.
