Virginia Tech made one more addition to their 2025 high school recruiting class today as four-star WR Cameron Sparks out of Chattanooga, TN chose the Hokies over Arkansas and Mississippi State as he announced at the Navy All-American Bowl.

Beyond those three schools, Sparks also was offered at one time or another by Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, Miami, Florida State, Louisville, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Auburn, Colorado, Duke, Kentucky, and more. The 6'3'',205-pound Sparks is the fourth true wide receiver in this class along with fellow four-star recruits Shamarius Peterkin and Micah Matthews plus three-star Jayden Anderson. Three-star ATH Luke Stuewe could also end up at wide receiver or defensive back.

Sparks was among the top 100 overall nationally early on in the 2025 recruiting cycle, but fell down the recruiting rankings over the past couple years to the point where he finished with a mix of high three-star and low four-star ratings. However, it's clear that Sparks has tons of potential with the Hokies seizing the opportunity in front of them to land a talented receiver.

It is important to note that Sparks will be enrolling early and will have a chance to make an impact and see if he can even earning some early playing time in a loaded WR room.

WRs coach Fontel Mines now has landed five four-star WRs in just the past two recruiting classes, as his position group continues to be arguably the deepest on the Hokies' roster. Shawn Quinn also deserves a ton of credit given the doors he's been able to open as Tech's area recruiter in Tennessee.
