Virginia Tech returns to the field Thursday night after a bye week for an important swing game on their schedule against Syracuse. The Hokies are in a fascinating spot at 2-1 in the ACC but only 3-4 on the season making this game important for their hopes of reaching a bowl while also being a chance to set up a huge ACC showdown with Louisville if they can get this victory.
Meanwhile, Syracuse enters this game looking to turn their season around off their bye. They started off the season strong at 4-0, but have stumbled since with blowout losses to Clemson, North Carolina, and Florida State.
