Virginia Tech has added some more youth to their 2025-26 roster, landing a commitment from 2025 three-star guard Brett Freeman out of the Charlotte area.
The 6’4’’ Freeman is the fourth high school addition of the 2025 class along with three-star F Sin’Cere Jones, four-star C Christian Gurdak, and 6’11’’ C Solomon Davis. He is also the eighth new roster addition for the Hokies this roster acquisition cycle. His commitment currently leaves the Hokies with 13 players for next season, two under the 15-man maximum.
Freeman also had reported offers from Florida State and FIU as well.
He had a standout senior season at Ardrey Kell HS earning conference player of the year honors while also setting his high school’s single season scoring record and scoring 20+ points in 18 of 26 games as told to Phenom Hoops’ Rick Lewis by his coach Mike Craft.
His addition gives the Hokies more backcourt depth for what will likely be a 5-10 minute role at most. He also brings some versatility with the skills to work on and off the ball.
