Virginia Tech has extended a few new offers to talented high school pass rushers including one to 2025 DE Jaquavious Dodd out of Taylors, SC.

He had this to say about his reaction to receiving a VT offer.
"I was surprised and that really made my day after I received the offer. I just started thinking about everybody who poured there heart and soul into me and how all the work I put in is showing now," Dodd said.
He shared this on how he was informed of the offer.
"Coach (J.C.) Price called my head coach. Then my head coach called me into his classroom and I saw the caller ID that Virginia Tech was on the phone. I was completely surprised. Then I talked to Coach Price for a couple of minutes and then he offered," Dodd said.
That conversation went well as a whole as he told us.
"It was a great conversation. I think that I could be a great asset to the program and from everything he said, Virginia Tech sounds like a great fit for me," Dodd said.
This comes as Dodd has built up a solid offer list with VT being the first Power 4 program to join his offer list alongside Appalachian State, Troy, Liberty, and Connecticut. This comes as Dodd had a very good junior season with 52 tackles including 13 sacks plus 12 QB hurries and two forced fumbles.
So how would Dodd describe the strengths that have helped him attain his success and the weaknesses that he is looking to improve.
"I think my strengths are my size and my work ethic. I still have a lot to learn but I want to improve and continue to be the best," Dodd said.
So how does this offer impact his recruitment and where Virginia Tech stands in it?
"I am very excited about the impact of this offer. I am hopeful that other schools will continue to see my potential at the next level. Virginia Tech is definitely at the top of my list. Again, I am grateful that they reached out and see me as a part of the future of their program," Dodd said.
Virginia Tech is a major contender now for 2025 DE Jaquavious Dodd despite just recently offering him.
