The transfer portal era means that there are more lower level standouts from the FCS, Division II, and Division III ranks who are able to show they have the talent to be stars at the highest levels and the climb the ranks to get their chance to prove themselves. Virginia Tech is not only after several of those standouts, but they also lead for one Division II star in particular.
