The last time the Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball program landed a five-star recruit was Liz Kitley, and everyone knows how well that worked out for the Hokie superstar who will have her number retired next season.
Now, the Hokies are right in the hunt for another five-star in 5’10’’ guard Divine Bourrage out of Davenport, Iowa who included the Hokies in her top 6.
5⭐️ recruit Divine Bourrage (5’11” guard ranked #5 in the Class of 2025) has narrowed down her college choices & announced her Top 6:

🔸South Carolina
🔸Virginia Tech
🔸Arizona
Tech was joined by South Carolina, LSU, Baylor, Arizona, and Illinois in her top 6. Bourrage is one of the elite players in the 2025 class with ESPN ranking her #5 overall in the country while On3 has her 7th.
247 Sports previously reported that she is taking an official visit this fall to Virginia Tech the weekend of September 21st. 247 also reported that she has official visits to Arizona (Sept. 7), California (Sept. 14), and LSU (Oct. 12) though it’s fair to wonder if that visit to Cal will happen after their exclusion from her top 6.
The Hokies have already built a strong foundation for their 2025 class with commitments from four-star F Amani Jenkins out of Iowa and four-star G Kate Sears out of North Carolina. The fact that the Hokies already have one commit from the state of Iowa in Jenkins could be helpful for the Hokies in their pursuit of another standout from Iowa.
Megan Duffy has plenty of Midwest roots that are showing in some of the doors she’s been able to open up on the recruiting trail in that region. Getting her on campus this fall will be a huge opportunity for the Hokies to make a big push and leave a lasting impression.
South Carolina and LSU have been elite recruiters and will be tough competition while Arizona should be taken seriously as a major contender. However, it’s clear that the Hokies have some serious traction with Bourrage being a player who could take this recruiting class from being one of the best ever at Tech to the strongest we’ve ever seen if she were to choose the Hokies.
