For the first time in Virginia Tech basketball history (men's or women's), the Hokies are heading to the Final Four after the 1 seed VT WBB team beat Ohio State 84-74 led by a school-record 56th double-double from Liz Kitley plus 24 points from Georgia Amoore, and 12 points each from Taylor Soule and Cayla King.
America has reacted in the type of excitement that you would expect from former and current athletes of all sports to former and current coaches to national figures like Magic Johnson and more.
Here's a look at the reaction from across the nation.

As you can see, there is rightly lots of excitement from the current team along with former players and coaches who helped get the Hokies to this point. However, that excitement extends far beyond that group.

From Brent Pry to Bud Foster and more, Virginia Tech coaches current and former are ecstatic about seeing these Hokies reach the Final Four.

There are plenty of Hokies who are ecstatic especially among former men's basketball greats like Malcolm Delaney, Justin Robinson, and Jamon Gordon. However, the excitement goes well beyond the basketball court.

Other Notable Figures
Congratulations to Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball Coach Kenny Brooks and the entire @HokiesWBB team on advancing to the Final Four for the first time in program history!
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) March 28, 2023
Favorite play: Kitley block with 30s left. Best feeling: announcers talking with a few minutes left about how OSU was coming back when #Hokies knew that wasn’t happening.
— Timothy D Sands (@VTSandsman) March 28, 2023
We tried to tell y'all all year about @HokiesWBB!!! Congrats Hokies on your first ever Final 4!

So yeah, America is loving what they are seeing from the Hokies and here's the thing...
Virginia Tech is only two wins away from a national championship.
