Just over a week after Kenny Brooks left Virginia Tech for Kentucky, the Hokies found their replacement in Marquette head coach Megan Duffy. She arrives in Blacksburg with a career record of 154-66 over her seven seasons as a head coach at Miami-Ohio and Marquette, which includes three NCAA Tournament appearances in five seasons at Marquette (would be 4 if not for COVID) and at least 19 wins in all seven seasons with the COVID-affected 2020-21 season being the only year she was kept under 21 wins with a 19-7 record and a second place finish in the Big East behind only UCONN.
Here are my initial thoughts on the hire including what this says about Hokies' Women's Basketball going forward.
