A mixture of excitement and relief was evident as Virginia Tech Men’s Basketball head coach Mike Young held a press conference following the addition of Greek star Neoklis Avdalas, most likely completing the Hokies’ 2025-26 roster.
“I do think he would have been drafted if he’d stayed (in the NBA draft),” Young presumed. “Thank God he didn’t.”
Avdalas’ decision to forego the NBA Draft and come to Blacksburg is monumental, but is just one reason why this should be the best Virginia Tech team since the 2022 ACC Tournament champions.
Mike Young spoke on Avdalas, the rest of the roster overhaul and more in a press conference Tuesday afternoon.
