James Franklin and Virginia Tech have made tons of noise over the past couple weeks on the recruiting trail, but arguably their biggest splash came today as four-star LB Terry Wiggins out of Coatesville, PA has flipped his commitment from Penn State to Virginia Tech.
Wiggins is the 15th new commit for Franklin including the tenth who was committed to Penn State at one point during this cycle. He is also the seventh aggregate four-star that the Hokies have landed since Franklin's arrival, plus Mathieu Lamah and Marlen Bright also being four-stars in one or two of the five recruiting rankings (the two Composite rankings plus 247 Sports, Rivals, and ESPN).
Here is the list of the new recruits so far for Virginia Tech under James Franklin.
- 4* QB Troy Huhn

Wiggins is a massive addition for the Hokies and is one of the highest-ranked prospects that the Hokies have landed in the past decade at minimum. He's the type of linebacker who could immediately push to break into Virginia Tech's linebacker rotation and make an impact as a true freshman.
Wiggins made the announcement on CBS Sports/247 Sports live Early Signing Day show on YouTube. He specifically mentioned that his relationship with James Franklin was critical in his decision to choose the Hokies and that his visit helped seal the deal. He also called Virginia Tech under Franklin "Penn State 2.0".
