The 6-foot-1, 175-pound point guard was rated as the no. 39 transfer point guard by 247Sports.
Curry averaged 10.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game for the Cowboys this past season, finishing in double figures 19 times on the year. Playing primarily off the bench, Curry scored at a 42% clip from the field, including 32% from beyond the arc, and he made nearly 81% of his free-throw attempts. His best outing of the season came on November 22 against Nicholls when he finished with 30 points on 8-for-11 shooting (73%), 10 rebounds, and six assists.
Virginia Tech is Curry's third college stop after he spent two seasons at UMass, from 2023-25. During his sophomore campaign, Curry started all 29 games for the Minutemen, averaging 13.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per contest. That season, he shot 36% from the field and a career-best 35% from three-point range.
In high school, Curry played at Chivalry Christian Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he was rated as the no. 214 player in the country and the 23rd-best player in North Carolina, according to 247Sports.
Curry has one season of eligibility remaining. His addition marks the fifth such update to the roster since the transfer portal opened, joining Oklahoma's Kuol Atak, San Diego State's Miles Heide, Florida Atlantic's Isaiah Elohim, and Elon's Ned Hull.
