Virginia Tech added another former Penn State player from the transfer portal, this time in cornerback Kenny Woseley Jr.

He is the third cornerback to join through the transfer portal, following UConn's Cam Chadwick and Troy's Jaquez White.

Woseley Jr. is the eleventh Nittany Lion to transfer to Tech following James Franklin's hiring. He joins DL Daniel Jennings, DEs Cortez Harris and Mylachi Williams, DT Randy Adirika, LB Keon Wylie, WR Jeff Exinor Jr, TEs Luke Reynolds and Matt Henderson, OL Michael Troutman III, and QB Ethan Grunkemeyer.

The 5’10”, 180-pound Woseley played in 17 games with one start in his two years at Penn State. In his freshman year he appeared in four games and recorded five tackles. This past season, he played in all 13 games, recording 10 tackles and a pass breakup.

Woseley Jr. primarily played at the nickel position for Penn State, and his addition brings more depth to the Hokies' secondary. Given his experience, he’ll have a chance to compete for a starting spot with Chadwick and White, who are also looking to compete on the outside. He’ll join a relatively young returning cornerback room, as Isaiah Brown-Murray and Thomas Williams are the only returning upperclassmen.

Woseley Jr. will enter as a redshirt sophomore and have three years of eligibility remaining.
